Intrauterine insemination with donor sperm

A reliable solution for single women or in cases of male infertility factor

Intrauterine insemination with donor sperm (IUI-D) is an effective and gentle method that enables single women or couples with male infertility factors to achieve pregnancy. The procedure can be performed either in a natural cycle or following controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH), depending on the individual case.

The maturation of the eggs is monitored by ultrasound to determine the exact time of ovulation. This allows for optimal timing of the introduction of the purified and concentrated sperm sample into the uterus using a thin and non-invasive catheter.

Why is frozen donor sperm used?

At New Life, we use exclusively frozen donor sperm that has undergone a mandatory quarantine period of at least 180 days. This is an extremely important safety measure that minimizes the risk of transmitting viral infections (such as HIV, hepatitis B, and others). After this period, the samples are retested and are approved for use only if they meet all quality and safety standards.

Who are the donors?

Patients can choose a donor based on a provided profile that includes physical characteristics, education level, hobbies, and interests. This ensures that the choice is as close as possible to the recipient’s personal preferences and values.

The procedure is completely anonymous, regulated by Bulgarian legislation, and carried out with care, discretion, and attention to the patient.
